During fiscal year 2016, its faculty published more than 2,200 papers in peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals. The total awarded for extramural grants and contracts was $207 million, a 3.5 percent increase over the previous high.
Cincinnati Children’s also achieved its largest single research grant, the $32.5 million Bench to Bassinet data coordinating center with co-Principal Investigators from Biostatistics and Epidemiology (Eileen King, PhD) and Biomedical Informatics (Peter White, PhD).
The 2016 accomplishments by the Division of Biomedical Informatics were also highlighted in the report, which include:
- 55 publications from our 13 primary faculty
- $5,862,183 in total annual grant award dollars
- A featured research paper by Yizhao Ni, PhD and five additional significant publications.
